Dealers discount 40 million for Veloz to clear inventory; best-seller Xpander AT Premium offers 20 million VND reduction.

The preferentialfor Toyota’s MPV includes cash of about 30 million and accompanying accessories. Depending on dealerships, if the customer has no need for accessories, they can be converted to full cash. Meanwhile, because of the higher attraction and demand than Veloz, Mitsubishi Xpander also has incentives but at a lower. Dealers reduce 20 million VND for the best-selling AT Premium version.

According to Toyota dealer sales staff, this incentive program is to boost sales and settle inventory for imported cars during the year. Toyota is about to sell a batch of locally assembled Veloz and Avanza cars in early 2023. This is Toyota Veloz’s biggest incentive after the pricing period, the proposed price and now the discount.

Beside Veloz, Xpander, many other models in the segment also have year-end discounts. Hyundai Stargazer reduced about 20-30 million VND in the form of 50% registration fee support. Suzuki XL7 reduced by 20 million, Ertiga reduced by 10 million or accessory package of 15-18 million.

The race for market share in the MPV segment in 2022 is mainly between Veloz and Xpander. Veloz is one of Toyota’s best-selling models in Vietnam, although it was only launched in March. By the end of November, Veloz sold 12,876 vehicles, just behind Vios and Corolla Cross in the Japanese company’s product range. In terms of segment, Veloz ranks second after Mitsubishi Xpander.

Accumulated from the beginning of 2022 to November, Xpander sold 20,217 vehicles, nearly double Veloz. At the Car Awards 2022 organized by VnExpress, Mitsubishi Xpander has been voted as the Car of the Year MPV segment for the second time.

In 2023, the multi-purpose vehicle segment in Vietnam promises to be more exciting when all models (except Suzuki XL7) are in the latest generation and versions. The appearance of two Korean models, including Hyundai Stargazer and Kia Carens by the end of 2022, also gives more choices for customers.
