VinFast representative informed that VF 3 will be the smallest model of the brand’s product range, in the Mini Car segment. This is also the first small car model researched and developed by this company based on the characteristics and traffic habits of domestic consumers.

Previously, Pham Nhat Vuong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vingroup, said that VinFast will deploy a line of micro electric vehicles, aiming to cover all product ranges in the segment. The “microcar” that Mr. Vuong mentioned is equivalent to sub-compact lines in foreign markets, which is smaller than A-class cars like Morning or i10.

Specifically, with an overall length of 3,114 mm, the VF 3 is shorter than VinFast VF 5 (3,965 mm), also shorter than the smallest A-class hatchback on the market, Kia Morning (3,595 mm). Compared to Wuling’s Chinese electric car, which is about to go on sale in the third quarter, the VF 3 is 197 mm longer in length. In addition, the parameters of the wheelbase, width and height have not been announced by the Vietnamese car company.

From the 3D image, the VF 3 has a square and personality design, with a bunker SUV style, different from the VinFast product range, which has a soft design. The square shape is shown through lights, rear mirrors, tire arches… The stylized bird wing V logo in the car is the common identification point of VinFast models. It has a set of 16-inch wheels, quite large ground clearance, towards multi-terrain mobility.

The car has a configuration of 2 side doors and 1 rear door, space for 5 people to sit. The cockpit has a simple design, only the driver’s screen without the central entertainment screen. The car has two versions of Eco and Plus, the company has not announced battery specifications, performance as well as its range.

“The two versions of VF 3 will have a price range suitable for the accessibility of the majority of Vietnamese,” said a VinFast representative.

Currently, the cheapest model of VinFast is the VF 5 Plus, priced at 458 million VND (excluding batteries) and users need to spend an additional 80 million VND to own a battery. Compact size, easily accessible price and environmentally friendly are factors that the Vietnamese car company expects VF 3 to become a popular name, similar to Fadil’s previous success.
