With revitalized supply, Honda Vietnam sells nearly 200,000 motorbikes in August 2022

Particularly, Honda Vision alone contributed over 48,000 sold units, despite still being overpriced in August.

According to August sales results announced by Honda Vietnam, the Japanese automaker sold a total of 198,405 motorcycles, up by 20.8% compared to July and by 100.8% compared to the same period last year. Honda Vision continues to be its best-selling motorcycle model with sales reaching more than 48,000 units, accounting for 24.2% of total motorcycle sales in August 2022.

In July, due to the lack of necessary accessories for assembly, the number of Honda Vision units shipped was not much, leading to a price difference at dealers, peaking at 54 million VND for the high-end version. By August, Honda Vietnam has gradually overcome this problem to help increase the supply of Vision, but it has not been able to completely end the price situation. Recorded at the beginning of August, the selling price of Honda Vision has decreased compared to July but has not yet reached the listed level, still fluctuating in the range of  39 – 45.5 million VND.

It wasn’t until early September that the new Vision’s selling price returned to the list price (VND 30.29 – VND 34.79 million) and was even reduced by VND 2 million at some dealers. However, this peaceful situation did not last long because recently, the selling price of Honda Vision once again increased sharply to VND 45 million in the Personality version because many users took advantage of the discount, making dealerships short in stock again.

Returning to Honda Vietnam’s motorcycle sales report in August, Wave Alpha was the best-selling product in the motorcycle segment with 43,349 units sold, while Winner X continued to sell best in the clutch segment with 7,373 units sold.
