The new Exciter has a slight change in appearance, adding an ABS option, priced from 48 million VND, a slight increase of 1-3.5 million.

Yamaha has recently introduced the Exciter 155 VVA-ABS to the Vietnamese market, enhancing the previous model launched in 2020 with the addition of ABS brakes, while maintaining the same 155 cc, 4-valve, SOHC, electronic fuel-injected engine with a maximum power output of 17.9 horsepower.

In terms of design, the new version sees minor alterations in the front elements, such as the clock face mask and the bike cover. The rest of the vehicle remains largely unchanged, except for some updated decals.

The specifications of the bike, including the 155 cc engine with VVA continuously variable valve system, 4 valves, SOHC, electronic fuel injection, and the 6-speed gearbox with power assist and anti-slip clutch, have remained consistent. Notably, the power output has seen a slight increase from the previous 17.7 to 17.9 horsepower.

One notable addition is the availability of ABS brakes as an option for customers. The ABS-equipped version features two clamping pistons and a larger brake disc diameter (267mm compared to 245mm). The non-ABS standard version is equipped with one clamping piston, and the rear brakes rely solely on discs without ABS in all versions.

The high-end variant of the Exciter now includes a Smartkey smart lock system and a 12V phone charging socket. Other features, such as the LCD clock, LED lighting system, engine stop switch, headlight pass switch, and four gear-based customizable ignition maps, remain consistent.

The new Exciter is available in four versions, priced at 48 million VND (standard), 51 million VND (premium), 54 million VND (ABS), and 55 million VND (GP/limited). While these prices represent an increase compared to the previous generation, which ranged from 46.9 to 50.5 million VND, it’s important to note that the previous version did not offer the option of ABS brakes.

In the market, the Honda Winner X model stands as a direct competitor to the Exciter. It features a 150 cc, liquid-cooled, electronic fuel-injected engine with a capacity of 15.4 horsepower and torque of 13.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The bike comes with a 6-speed gearbox and manual clutch, equipped with ABS brakes on the front wheels, and is priced between 46 and 50.56 million VND.
