Yamaha E01 and Neo introduces themselves in European markets with expected release date at 2022.

Expected to launch in the European market in the near future, the Yamaha E01 and Neo are aimed at younger customers who often move around the city.  With these new models, Yamaha is entering the electric bike (e-bike) market for the first time.

Neo is developed based on E02 Concept, whose prototype was first introduced at Tokyo Motor Show 2019. Yamaha Neo belongs to a small-sized electric scooter line, with a capacity equivalent to a 50cc model. Meanwhile, the E01 is equivalent to a 125cc scooter.

Details of the E01 and Neo have not been announced, and the E01 will have a new name based on a large European city. “This is the right time to inspire a new generation of customers to use electric motorcycles, which is part of the company’s plan,” said a representative of Yamaha Motor Europe.

Alongside the E01 and Neo, the Japanese automaker also introduces the B01, a new hybrid prototype that combines the functionality of an electric bicycle with the performance of a motorcycle. Model B01 Concept is a product of cooperation between Yamaha, Fantic Motor, and Motori Minarelli.
