Janus renews its front design, gauge, and Blue Core 125cc engine; highest version at 32.2 million.

On April 13, at a conference center on Phu Quoc Island, Yamaha launched the Janus 2022. This is just a slightly upgraded version with some tweaks in appearance, while the engine remains the same.

The new Yamaha Janus still retains three sold versions already in the market, including the Standard 28.2 million, the High-end 31.7 million, and the Limited 32.2 million VND. This selling price increased slightly compared to the old Janus.

The scooter model has a redesigned front shell that covers the LED strip. The speedometer is still a combination of analog and LCD, but the font and number display has changed.

In addition, the bike retains the same design as its predecessor. There is a halogen headlight and two 14-inch wheels. Front wheel employs disc brake and rear wheel uses drum brakes.

Smartkey and Idle stop are only available on two Limited and Special versions. Trunk capacity stands at 14 liters, LED taillights.

The engine mounted on Yamaha Janus is a 125-cc Bluecore, SOHC air-cooled. The bike reaches a capacity of 9.5 horsepower at 8,000 rpm, maximum torque of 9.6 Nm at 5,500 rpm. Transmission is made through a CVT.

The rival of Yamaha Janus 2022 is Honda Vision, priced at VND 30.2-33.2 million. Janus’ price is lower, but the advantage of brand and design of Vision is more suitable for Vietnamese customers. Therefore, Vision continues to outperform rival Yamaha in terms of sales.
