On March 10, Ford officially introduced the new generation Ranger Raptor. This is the second generation of high-performance, off-road vehicles, which have always been a standard symbol of Ford’s leading pickups.

Ford Ranger Raptor is expected to be delivered to Vietnamese customers from the 4th week of April 2023. The car has five color options of orange, gray, blue, black, and white with prices from 1.299 billion VND. Orange and gray versions have a selling price of VND 1.306 billion.

In terms of exterior design, the 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor has quite impressive changes, more aggressive and personality than before. The highlight of the wide horizontal look is the rainbow wheel arches, the typical C-shaped headlights of Ford trucks, the large F-O-R-D inscription on the grille and the front bumper designed separately from the grille.

Matrix LED front light with LED daytime running light strip enhances lighting performance. The light cluster features automatic lighting directional adjustment, anti-glare headlights and automatic dynamic balance adjustment to provide safer lighting for Ranger Raptor drivers as well as vehicles traveling in opposite directions.

The outstretched wheel holders match the muscular 17-inch rim design and BFGoodrich® KO2® multi-terrain tires. Many other details are also newly designed such as air intakes, aerodynamic features and cast aluminum side steps. These details make the car sturdier, highlighting the look and functionality of the 2023 Ranger Raptor.

In the interior compartment, the front and rear sports seats are inspired by the

combat aircraft, maximum support for passengers when cornering, the high-end leather sports steering wheel with a bulged thumb point hugging the shape of the hand, the midpoint marker and the shift lever made of high-quality magnesium alloy will provide an experience especially for customers.

The characteristic orange stitching on the dashboard, interior details and seat trim, combined with the lighting system inside the car create an amber interior space, looking modern and sophisticated. The central control area includes a sharp 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12-inch central touchscreen integrated with the new SYNC® 4Aiii infotainment system, which connects wirelessly to both Apple and Android operating systems.

In addition, the rear spring mounting platform and rear shock absorber rack are equipped to ensure the Ranger Raptor 2023 can maintain operation at high speeds when off-road.

Ford Ranger Raptor 2023 is equipped with a 2.0L Bi-Turbo engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission, maximum power of 207 horsepower at 3,750 rpm and maximum torque of 500 Nm at 1,750 – 2,000 rpm.

For the first time, the Ranger Raptor is equipped with an advanced all-wheel drive system, with an all-new 2-speed auxiliary transmission electrically controlled, combined with a differential locking function on the rear axle. This is a feature that will satisfy fastidious off-road players.

Supporting the New Generation Ranger Raptor to conquer all types of terrain from flat roads to mud roads, trails and sandy roads are 7 optional driving modes with an emphasis on a dedicated ‘Baja’ mode for high-speed off-road operation. In Bajaii mode, electronic systems are set to optimal performance.

Each driving mode adjusts several different factors such as engine, transmission, anti-lock braking system (ABS) sensitivity and calibration, traction and stability control, steering, throttle position sensors and even the dashboard and central touchscreen.

In addition, the 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor is also equipped with off-road cruise control (Trail Control™). This system works similarly to the Cruise Control system but is intended for off-road travel. The driver only needs to set a speed (less than 32km/h) and the car will actively accelerate or brake while the driver focuses on steering to overcome difficult terrain.
