Information from dealers said that Toyota Hilux will continue to be distributed in the Vietnamese market from the beginning of this year, after nearly a year of stopping sales due to not meeting Euro 5 emission standards.

Toyota Hilux 2023 is expected to be distributed in our country with 4 versions, including manual 2WD, manual 4WD, automatic 2WD, and automatic 4WD. In addition, the sport version GR Sport may also be launched in the Vietnamese market this year. The first batch of 100 cars of the 2.4 4×2 AT version will be sold on the market from March 2023, with a selling price from 852 million VND. Thus, compared to the old version, this version of Toyota Hilux automatic transmission increased by 178 million VND. The dealer said the car will be upgraded in terms of equipment to match the higher price but did not give details.

Although there has been no official announcement from the company, from the end of December 2022, Toyota dealers have simultaneously announced to receive deposits for the new Toyota Hilux with prices ranging from 740 million to 1.05 billion VND. If the price information is correct, the Hilux will become the most expensive car in the segment. Meanwhile, Ford Ranger is currently priced from 659 to 965 million VND.

In addition to changing the selling price, the design of Toyota Hilux 2023 has not changed compared to the old version. However, the orange exterior option will no longer be available, instead there are 2 new color options: bronze and brown.

All engine versions of the new Hilux have been re-tuned to meet Euro 5 emission standards. However, the engine power parameters have not changed.

In the pickup segment in the Vietnamese market, Toyota Hilux competes with Ford Ranger, Mitsubishi Triton, Nissan Navara, Isuzu D-Max, and Mazda BT-50… In which, Ford Ranger is the best-selling model with sales reaching 14,023 units in 11 months of 2022, accounting for 70% market share.
