Honda Trail 125 was developed based on SuperCub 125, but is removed of the front cover and added some special equipment to help the car move more easily on off-road conditions.
After debuting at the 2019 Tokyo exhibition as the CT125 concept, the Honda Trail 125 commercial version was officially sold to the Japanese market as the CT125 Hunter Cub. Recently, this model continued to set foot in the US market under another name, Honda Trail 125.
Developed based on the Honda SuperCub 125, Trail 125 still has the look of the iconic Honda cub, but mixed with a bit of dustiness, inspired by the Honda Trail 110 from the 1970s.
Specifically, Honda Trail 125 has completely removed the cover in the front, instead of a pair of anti-tilt frames to cover the engine with steel pipes. In addition, the exhaust pipe of the bike is squeezed higher. Its steering wheel is raised to create a comfortable sitting position for the user.
Suspension includes a pair of 26-mm telescopic forks at the front and twin spring shock absorbers at the rear. The spokes set has black braces and glossy aluminum sticks, along with multi-terrain tires. Notably, the vehicle is equipped with disc brakes at both front and rear with single-channel ABS.
According to announcements, the saddle has a height of 800 mm, a 5.4-liter fuel tank, and a total wet weight of 117.5 kg. Similar to SuperCub 125, Honda Trail 125 uses a single cylinder engine, 124.9cc in capacity, air-cooled, producing 9.65 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and maximum torque of 10.4 Nm at 6,250 rpm. Employed is a 4-cable gearbox and electronic fuel injection system.
In the US market, Honda Trail 125 has only a Red color option at 3,999 USD, equivalent to about 91 million VND.
