The new version is significantly upgraded in terms of engine, but equipment and design have not changed much.
Wuyang Honda in China has recently introduced the 2023-2024 version of the Honda U-GO. While the design updates are minimal, there are significant changes in the engine. The previous 1200W engine with a maximum speed of 53 km/h has been replaced with a new 1800W engine, allowing for a maximum speed of up to 65 km/h.
The new engine also boasts an increased conversion efficiency of 88%, resulting in an extended travel distance of 95 km on a single charge at a sustained speed of 25 km/h. Despite using the same 72V/20Ah lithium battery as its predecessor, the U-GO 2023 retains the convenience of a removable battery, allowing for easy charging at stations or at home.
The lighting system of the U-GO 2023 features LED technology, and the motorcycle is equipped with a modern smart key. Additionally, the bike features a fully digital instrument cluster that can connect to smartphones via the Wi-box application, enabling GPS navigation on the vehicle’s display.
Other notable equipment includes telescopic front shock absorbers, a rear spring shock absorber, front disc brakes, and rear drum brakes for safe operation. The U-GO 2023 also offers a spacious storage compartment under the saddle for added convenience.
In China, the Honda U-GO 2023 is priced at 7999 yuan, which is approximately 26 million VND.
