Lazada Logistics has received the first batch of EV from Selex Motors. According to the roadmap, the first 100 units will be delivered by Lazada Logistics to Vietnam market in 2023.
This is the first electric “pickup” model in Southeast Asia, with outstanding transport capacity (in terms of mass or volume) thanks to the unique design and the ability to save transportation costs which compares with popular vehicles running on the same distance. In addition, the vehicle is intelligently managed, applied IoT technology, and has lower maintenance costs than popular gasoline motorcycles.
Currently, the trend of switching from gasoline motorbike to EV in the field of transportation is growing. Transport and logistics businesses in many countries and territories such as Thailand, Taiwan and Indonesia are all promoting electric vehicle development options, with a roadmap to transition to 100% electric vehicles by 2035.
Currently, Lazada Logistics is also one of the pioneers in the field of e-commerce logistics in Vietnam using electric vehicles as a means of delivery. The conversion of electric vehicles is a step towards the general movement trend of the region and the world, affirming Lazada’s commitments towards a green future and sustainable development.
