To meet the needs of the people, Resolution 73 of the National Assembly has allowed the auction of car license plates while strictly ensuring the management of road vehicles, increasing revenue for the state budget, and at the same time ensuring transparency and publicity in the issuance of license plates for cars.

The National Assembly’s resolution on piloting the auction of car license plates will take effect starting on July 1, 2023 with a starting price of VND 40 million, applicable to car license plates with white background, black lettering and numbers. Currently, the Ministry of Public Security is urgently developing a Decree detailing and organizing a pilot auction of car license plates, ensuring publicity, transparency, and attraction.

He may sell the car won in the auction to keep the number plate in order to register for his next car.
